The Second Amendment

This I actually wrote months back.

Let’s get straight to the point. What do James Hetfield, Karl Malone and Tom Selleck have in common with me? We are pro 2nd Amendment fans. That’s right. 100%!!! We have the right to bear arms and lawful ownership of firearms. To think that we, as citizens, are facing the limitations in firearm ownership might have George Washington turning over in his grave. I am not a believer in violence. I do believe that should a criminal threaten the well-being of someone, the intended victim should be able to retaliate. Use whatever force needed to protect themselves or those they love.

Contrary to most common beliefs, Malcolm X was a STRONG advocate of the 2nd Amendment. We hear so much about the “By Any Means Necessary” speech (which he addressed this subject). How is it that no one ever caught this? He felt that way while he was in the Nation of Islam (NOI) and felt that way after he left. At the time of this speech, he was still NOI. He said in a differrent speech that if a criminal breaks into my home and threatens my well-being, I have the right to get my gun and run him out. Or better yet, "We should be peaceful, law—abiding—but the time has come for the American Negro to fight back in self—defense whenever and wherever he is being unjustly and unlawfully attacked" but still think he was not for the second amendment?

I saw this video a while back. This is an example of what’s wrong with not having conceal carry laws. This How painful is this? This proves that criminals will do what they want to do, regardless of the laws on the books. Why? They’re criminals and the law is one of many things they do not respect or fear. So get this joke. There’s me and a criminal. They want to come into my home, & threaten me. They have a gun and want to use it on me. HOWEVER, I can’t go get mine to defend myself. I have to stand by and let this man take whatever they want, including my life or the life of a loved one. Not funny anymore, right? :

Someone decided to fight back. As I understand, the state of Minnesota is a concealed carry state. I wonder what those who believe in people not having the right to own a gun think of this.
